What is a 360-degree idea?
Should all programme pitches have a multiplatform element to them?
Pitching Multiplatform Ideas will demystify the process of how to pitch 360-degree concepts as well as the do's and don'ts of pitching. Hear the experiences of our panel on the pitfalls, success stories plus, what's hot and what's not in the cross-platform world. Attendees will also get the chance to listen to top tips on how to give a successful pitch under pressure. This FREE event is produced by the Royal Television Society in partnership with Screen West Midlands and supported by Advantage West Midlands.

Alice Taylor
Alice Taylor started in new media in 1995, from early days developing and launching Channel 4’s first website in early ‘96 to more recently, Vice President of Digital Media for BBC Worldwide in Los Angeles. In September ‘07 Alice took up the role of Commissioning Editor, Education at Channel 4, focusing on cross-platform educational content for 14-19 year olds.
Martin Trickey
Martin Trickey started working in digital media as a producer of multiplayer online games back in 1999. He joined the BBC for his first stint in 2000 and worked on cross platform projects such as Test The Nation, Doctor Who and Celebdaq. He left in 2004 to join Teachers TV as the Director of Digital Services but has now returned to the Beeb as a Commissioning Executive in Entertainment and Comedy. He lives in Brighton.
Lucy Willis
Emmy winning Lucy Willis joined Raw TV at the end of 2005 and since then she has worked on a range of factual series, one off documentaries and multi-platform projects, for a number of broadcasters. Recent productions include Neigbourhood Watched, a four part series for BBC1, Brits who made the Modern World, a six part series presented by Peter Snow for Five, Cutting Edge: Wilfred Goes to Westminster an going doc for C4, Half Ton Veg and Saving Britney Spears, both one off docs for C4.
Jon Davenport
Jon Davenport began his career in digital media at Granada where he produced the websites for I‘m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!, Blind Date and Emmerdale. He then moved into a development role at Endemol where he worked on a variety of cross-platform projects. Jon produced a series of original ‘mobisodes‘ for T4‘s teen drama Totally Frank, Europe‘s first picture messaging soap opera FanTESStic, and originated BBCi‘s supernatural drama Signs of Life, the most expensive web production funded by the BBC at the time.

The Centre provides an ideal forum where members can discuss the current developments in their own fields, learn more about the work of others and discover the latest developments in technology and equipment. People of diverse interests and of all ages and experience are encouraged to join us.
From September to June we hold a series of lectures, discussions, workshops and visits on a wide range of subjects, all relevant to television. They reflect the interests of the membership and include productions, technical, craft and topical general interest items. These meetings are always free at either BBC Birmingham in the City Centre's Mailbox or ITV Central in Gas Street, Birmingham, with other venues for special occasions.
The Midlands Centre has recently been extended to cover more Eastern counties, adding Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire to the existing Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire.
